The lustreware bowl had been previously bonded (4 fragments), it also had a long hair-line crack and the gilding was unstable.Ceramic restoration requirementFull restoration - taking into account the difficulty of reproducing a lustre finish.Materials used to complete the restorationCleaning and dismantling - water and cotton wool swabs, water washable paint stripper and acetoneConsolidant - Paraloid B72 and acetone Bonding - Paraloid B72 and Fynebond epoxy resin.
