condition of item needing repairAn earthenware Flambe bottle vase standing at approx 35cms. The neck and rim of this vase were broken into several fragments and previously bonded.Ceramic restoration requirementOld adhesive to be removed and object fully restored using conservation grade materialsMaterials used to complete the restorationDismantled and cleaned using water washable paint stripper (dichloromethane), cold water and steam cleaner.Bonded and colourfilled with Fynebond (two part epoxy resin) and dry powder pigments. all photos and work on this object were carried out in Sarah Peek‘s Studio Back to all items Beky davies has restored |
